Social Sciences Tower Remodel

Project Overview
The project consists of interior remodeling of varying portions of floors through 14 of the Social Science Tower as outlined in the Pre Design Report dated July, 2008. In some areas, wall changes and ceiling replacement work will be completed. In other areas, paint and finish changes will be completed. Kitchenette remodeling work will occur on most floors. The existing mechanical/electrical/plumbing services will remain intact but will be modified as needed to accomplish the remodeling. The existing ductwork air distribution systems will need to be revised in some locations to accommodate new ceilings and partitions. New lighting will be installed in areas where new ceilings are installed. A supplemental cooling system will be installed to supply additional cooling to several room locations where the occupancy density is significantly increased. (i.e. new conference/meeting rooms). Modify existing sprinkler head placement, including demolition and installation of new piping and sprinkler heads to accommodate new ceilings and partitions as required by Code.
