The University is requesting Proposals for services for The Department of Emergency Management (DEM) requires installation of a Campus-wide Emergency Voice Alert System on the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. It shall be the responsibility of the successful respondent to design and provide equipment, software and services to successfully install the new Campus-wide Emergency Alert System as described in this RFP. Vendor shall provide all materials, electrical connections, system components, software and any other items necessary to provide a fully functional system. Vendor shall provide all manpower including but not limited to designers, developers, engineers, technicians, supervisors, etc. to complete all of the proposed work. Optimization, troubleshooting and adjustment of each subsystem will be the Vendor’s responsibility.
The locations for installation have been pre-determined. See Attachment document for the list of locations and basic specifications for each location. All vendors submitting an RFP will be required to attend a mandatory walk-through
Work Not in Scope:
Land Care:
• Owner will be responsible for all landscape restoration of plantings and turf.
• Contractor is expected to coordinate all activities through the University Land Care department to minimize damage and expense to the University. This may include but is not limited to tree trimming, re-routing trenching to avoid sensitive tree root systems and/or protecting grass areas with a means to disburse the weight that could be caused by heavy trucks/cranes.
• Failure to coordinate project related work in advance with University Land Care will be subject to penalty as described in the University Standards.
• Contractor is responsible but not limited to any damage caused to curbs, sidewalks, utilities, streets, or structure above and below grade including tunnels. .
