Project Overview

Architectural Program:
The architectural program for the project will consist of fourteen animal holding rooms, two procedure rooms, an enrichment area, a food prep area, a dirty room, a clean room, one supervisor’s private office, and a large group office for up to fourteen staff. Work includes wall demolition to create the office area; one new animal anteroom off the corridor for a large holding room; general remodeling for the procedure rooms and food prep areas; and minor modifications to the animal rooms. The retro-fitting of the animal rooms is primarily floor grates to cover existing drainage gutters, door changes, water supply changes and vandal-proof lighting. Existing finishes will be retained and matched.
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Program:
This project consists of the remodeling of an existing animal holding space that is an area of approximately 5,700 gross sq. ft. The existing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection will need to be modified to meet the requirements of this project. The following narrative is based on site visits, meetings with users and review of existing plans.
