Animal Sciences – Stair Tower Replacement

Project Overview
Construction services for the replacement of building envelope at stair towers A and B as noted in BKBM project documents dated August 1, 2008. The stairs and landings are scheduled to remain. Removal and replacement of this stair construction would trigger code requirements for upgrading accessibility of the entire building. This project will require that the contractor work closely with the University Code Office, building occupants, CPPM, the Consultant and Facilities Management to maintain building egress while construction is in progress. The building will remain occupied during replacement of the both towers. Phasing of the tower replacements will be required to allow for adequate egress during replacement.
This project will take place at Animal Sciences located at 1988 Fitch Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55018, in accordance with the attached drawings and specifications.
