The United Airlines (UAL) San Francisco Maintenance Center implemented the PIPS best-value selection process from 1997-2000. The program documented very high success (see results) including an increase in contractor performance, and a decrease in UAL management. In 2005, UAL implemented the process again to procure a high performing roofing contractor & manufacturer to re-roof approximately 650,000 SF on Building 84. |
